Job purpose
The QA Automation Lead is responsible
Design implement automation framework
To help set up & perform QA automation for functional and nonfunctional testing.
Help support, maintain, and assist in implementation of QA Automation across the QA team.
Duties and responsibilities:
Programmatically test the product, measure test coverage, and drive testability and diagnostic ability into
the product, while promoting best practices in quality areas.
Expand testing coverage by enhancing automated test suite capabilities and adding new tests.
Implement fast and efficient QA cycles by using state of the art technologies to build comprehensive tests
Adopt tools and advanced test methodologies.
Train new/existing team members.
Qualifications, Abilities, and Skills Required:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
Experience:
5+ years of relevant work experience
Key Competencies and Skills:
5+ years’ of strong Software QA automation experience in an Agile environment
Experience analyzing systems and figuring out what can be automated
API / Web Services / ETL test automation experience is a plus
Experience in developing and writing complex test cases
Strong knowledge of QA process and methodologies
Good knowledge on SQL Language
Good understanding on scripting
Strong Technical Sense and Proven Analytical / Problem Solving abilities
Experience with change control and version control software
Good communication skills, able to present ideas clearly through different channels: Emails, Meetings
and Documentations
Nice to have:
Experience with cloud architecture and web services such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting languages, such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or
Ruby
Experience with automated testing tools and techniques (frontend, API, backend, database)
Data analytics testing experience
Key Measures of Success (how we know you are being successful in your job)
Contribute to reporting different QA metrics - measure of activity/process (result based) and derivatives
and act as early warning signs of adverse result (predictive estimation)
Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot issues thoroughly by investigating application logs and writing SQL
queries for data verification
Take ownership and initiatives to thrive for overall product quality, provide feedback and
recommendations to software development process and tools
